As the original extreme-weather parka, The Expedition was engineered for Antarctic researchers at McMurdo Station. Trusted annually by the National Science Foundation’s Polar Research division, it delivers South Pole-proven performance for frozen urban landscapes or uncharted ice fields. The adjustable down-filled hood with removable fur ruff and shaping wire deflects harsh winds, while the high-pile fleece-lined chin guard ensures superior comfort. Practical features include interior backpack straps for hands-free carrying and an upper-back webbing grab strap with the ‘Expedition’ emblem.

Engineered for maximum protection, the parka features an interior waist drawcord and a hide-away nylon elasticized snow skirt to seal in warmth. Recessed rib-knit cuffs lock in heat, while the storm-proof closure system—a two-way zipper with Velcro®-secured placket and internal storm flap—ensures versatile protection. Six exterior pockets include four double-entry front pockets (top-flap Velcro® + side zipper), plus two utility sleeve pockets.
